          RESOURCE ASSESSMENT AND PRODUCTION

          FORECASTS

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) annually prepares an opments. This is a change compared to forecasts, where
assessment of the Danish oil and gas resources alongside Denmark was expected to remain a net exporter of oil
a long-term production forecast. for a number of years. However, in the previous forecast
production only marginally exceeded consumption, and
The changes entail that Denmark is no longer expected write-down in production expectations results in this
to be net exporter of oil with the exception of one single change in the evaluation of Denmark as a net exporter
year (2024) where oil production exceeds consumption of oil. The forecast for oil production is reduced by 8
due to the expected production start up of new devel- per cent compared to last year’s forecast, which mainly
is driven by a downward adjustment of the resources, de-

                                                               of several fields and discoveries.

The forecast for gas is reduced by 5 per cent compared
the previous forecast, but Denmark is expected to remain
a net exporter of gas until after 2035, excluding 2020

The approval of the rebuilding of the facilities on the

less than before. However, great uncertainty remains
with regard to the development of a number of projects
hence contributing to the forecast being somewhat
