          AS A SHARING ECONOMY

Leasing of personal protective equipment is easy,
green and affordable – and good business

Safety equipment is essential for working in the offshore “Many suits hang in companies” suit rooms most of the
industry. time. Our suits are at work,” says Mads Enemark Nør-
                                                               greeen.
But safety equipment is also an administrative and finan-
cial burden, a logistical challenge, and often quite bulky.

It has to be done smarter, and that's exactly what
HelliPPE do. The company has made the administration,
finances, logistics and storage a core competency, so cus-
tomers just need to make sure that they order the right
PPE for the right person ahead of an offshore trip.

“Everyone needs PPE, but PPE is not a core business. With
us, it is.” says Mads Enemark Nørgreen, sales director at
          HeliPPE:

“We have collected everything that goes with preparing
to work offshore and made it into a service,” he says.
          TOWARDS MORE GROWTH
This idea has proved to be in-demand. Since the op-
portunity in taking care of everything before and after
the time when an offshore employee needs to use their
suit and fall insurance was spotted in 2013, HelliPPE
have grown to a total of 11 employees, with offices in
Denmark, Germany and the UK. A Norwegian partner
has joined as co-owner and they are looking to the
Netherlands, Taiwan and the United States as their next
          markets.

Growth is largely driven by high safety-consciousness:

“For customers, it is not just the service component of a
company like ours which is crucial. Traceability means a
lot too; being able to document that certificates and ser-
vicing are under control. There is a huge focus on safety
in the industry and a particular focus on the equipment
which can make it possible to work safely,” says Mads
          Enemark Nørgreeen.
HeliPPE has created a business on servicing the offshore industry’s
